A few weeks ago the team at My Natural Hair sent me their products to review. As a natural curly girl I love products! Hahaha, it’s like a pleasure walking around in the stores and browsing the aisles for products. Of course it’s important for us to read labels and ingredients to find the products that has what our hair needs.
My natural hair was developed in Africa (hey, local is lekker) and it is formulated with natural butters and oils. The products are free from sulphates, parabens, silicones and mineral oils making them safe to use on your hair.
I don’t know about you but I think I am correct in saying that we love love love to get a good sniff of the products when opening them. It’s like a weird unspoken rule and I am pretty sure we ALL do it! You know you like walking around smelling like you walked out of the Bahamas or like you dunked your head in some tropical mix.
The Shampoo smells so good and I mean so good! I like that it doesn’t make me hair feel sticky since I do get that feeling during the shampoo process with other brands. Do you know what I mean? Where your hair feels a bit like dreads.
I used the hydrating conditioner right after (so thankful they sent a few packets because I went ape and used a lot because Im greedy haha) and started using my fingers to detangle my curls. I was very impressed with the way my curls looked. To be extra I used some of the Strengthening oil and massaged it into my roots before styling.
I usually let my hair air dry (okay, it’s mostly because I need a new diffuser 🙂 ) so I done exactly that to see the product work in my day to day routine. To be honest, I rarely forget the afro pick as the wind usually gives my hair loads of volume and you could say the earth is literally my afro pick! My hair looked really moisturized and like I have my life together. It was bouncy and wasn’t weighing my hair down which is always a plus. When I make my hair into a bun I use a little of the the butter just to flatten the hair on top so that it looks neat and then I’m ready to go!
What’s your favourite products to use? What would you like me to try next?
